Obamas Church, Sabeel and radicalized Palestinian Christians: "

Obamas Church, Sabeel and radicalized Palestinian Christians: ’

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is troubled by the United Church of Christs continuing partnership with the Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center, a radicalized Palestinian Christian group whose leaders have openly questioned Israels right to exist.

Lifting up the rock, what comes crawling out of Obamas church get uglier and deadlier ……….. Go over to Husaria

Obama???s Church Connected to Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center

Sabeel calls the establishment of Israel ???The Catastrophe??? (Nakba)

From the Web site of the United Church of Christ; enter zip code 60628 in the search box and click on ???Find a Church.??? The first entry that comes up is:

Pastor(s) JEREMIAH A. WRIGHT JR - P

Address 400 W 95TH ST , CHICAGO IL 60628-1120

Yes, Barack Obama???s church, the Trinity United Church of Christ, is affiliated with the United Church of Christ. Now let???s take a look at the United Church of Christ???s less than savory connections with the Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center.

ADL Troubled by United Church of Christ???s Embrace of Radicalized Palestinian Christian Group

New York, NY, January 10, 2006 ??? The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is troubled by the

United Church of Christ???s continuing partnership with the Sabeel

Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center, a radicalized Palestinian

Christian group whose leaders have openly questioned Israel???s right to

exist.

Now, Barack Hussein Obama and his shills are telling us that he is

supportive of Israel, but this is what the United Church of Christ

(UCC), of which Trinity United Church of Christ is a member, supports.

Note that we are citing the Web site of the United Church of Christ???s friends at sabeel.org.

Do you want to know more about Current Realities in Palestine ???

Our vision for this conference is to gather, network,

and further educate young leaders from Palestine and around the world,

during this 60th year of commemorating the Nakba; so

that they may be trained, commissioned, and equipped with the tools to

act in advocacy to work for justice and peace in the Holy Land.

60 years ago would be 1947-1948, i.e. the establishment of Israel as

opposed to the Six Day War. Doesn???t ???nakba??? mean ???disaster,??? which is

Palestinian for existence of Israel?

Palestinian Children under occupation

We were all children at one time; and we all have our

childhood memories - some that we cherish and others that we would

rather forget. Palestinians who were children in 1948 are now

grandmothers and grandfathers. They remember their towns and villages,

their homes, their orange groves, their olive trees, and the streets

where they played with their friends. They remember the terraced hills,

the vineyards, and the fig trees, lovingly tended by their parents and

grandparents.

This was shattered by a nightmare that will not come to an end: the 1948 Nakba (or catastrophe)

turned their lives upside down. Today, fifty-three years later, they

are still trying to shake it off. The prayer on their lips is always:

???May our children see better days.??? The miracle is that they never lost

hope.

This document is the fruit of several months of discernment, prayer and preparation. We

released it on May15 th because of the symbolic significance of that

date. It was on May15 , 1948 that the state of Israel was established,

and the Palestinian Nakba (Catastrophe) is remembered
. Be that

as it may, we believe that a just peace is still possible and a life of

security and reconciliation is within our reach. In light of the events

of the last few weeks we hope that you will sincerely reflect on the

content, and then act according to conscience. Our faith in the living

God obliges us to press on. ??????I have set before you life and death ???

Choose life so that you ??? may live??? (Deuteronomy30 :19). Sabeel chooses

to stand for justice. We can do no other. We invite you, indeed, we

beseech you, to stand with us.

Canon Naim Ateek

Sabeel Center, Jerusalem

Now let???s take a look at the United Church of Christ???s own Web site. All links are to domain ucc.org.

Tutu criticizes ???collective punishment??? of Palestinians

South African Archbishop Desmund Tutu

(c.), a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, is pictured with Massachusetts

Conference Minister Jim Antal (l.) and the Rev. Nancy Taylor (r.),

senior pastor of Old South UCC in Boston.

Tutu keynoted a two-day conference, held at the church, Oct. 26-27, titled ???The Apartheid Paradigm in Palestine-Israel.??? ???The event was sponsored by the Sabeel Center, a Palestinian-Christian organization with partnership ties to the UCC, which rented Old South???s sanctuary for the event.

We have therefore established that:

(1) Barack Hussein Obama???s church, the Trinity United Church of Christ

(tucc.org) is part of the United Church of Christ (ucc.org)

(2) The UCC is cooperating actively with the Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center

(3) The Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center???s web site refers repeatedly to the creation of Israel (NOT just the ???occupation??? of the West Bank) as Al Nakba, ???The Catastrophe.???

Res ipsa loquitur, the thing speaks for itself.
