Islamic Movement Fails to Condemn Terrorism: ‘’

(IsraelNN.com) The Israeli-Arab weekly paper Al-Mitak, the mouthpiece of the Islamic Movement, has repeatedly failed to denounce the terrorist shooting in Jerusalem 10 days ago in which eight young students were murdered. Instead, the paper has denounced Israel’s killing of four terrorists in Bethlehem, terming the operation a ‘slaughter.’

The paper referred to the murder of the students as ‘the first response to the acts of slaughter in Gaza,’ referring to IDF operations in Gaza days earlier in which dozens of Hamas terrorists were killed. The murderer was never referred to as a ‘murderer’ or ‘terrorist,’ and the attack was never defined as an act of terrorism. However, the paper had no problem using words such as ‘massacre’ and ‘slaughter’ several days later when describing Israel’s counterterrorism operation in Bethlehem.
